I made this card for today's Inspiration Challenge. Julie is our hostess and she has chosen Canva as our site for inspiration. I chose to go to a Pinterest board Canva has called Design Inspiration which is where I saw this fabulous photo: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/190066046753370332/. I love the vintage feel of these trees against the simplicity of the building with the bench in front.
My friend Liz (LizBeth1976) gifted me with this wonderful Sizzix fold-a-long jar die (thank you Liz) so I decided to use this today. If you look at the inspiration photo, I have turned this upside down so the blooms are on the bottom and the jar lid looks a bit like the bench. I just love the vintage feel of the inspiration photo and this wonderful paper mimics that vintage feel.
The label was created using a die from the SU Needlepoint Elements dies that creates a piercing pattern in the paper. Then I Stamped the Impression Obsession canvas stamp over this, stamping off once so I have the lighter 2nd generation stamping on this label. Stamped the friendship sentiment, then punched the label out with the pretty label punch.
Because there is so much going on with the designer papers, I kept the decoration to a minimum. I added some burlap ribbon underneath the label and I tied this card shut with some olive green twine. This card opens up in a gate fold fashion and reveals another mason jar inside which is where the sentiment is.
Thank you Julie for the wonderful inspiration today and thank you for looking! ~Karen.

I am assuming that this die cut car opens like a gate fold which actually put me in mind of the shutters in your inspiration pic too. This whole card has a lovely vintage and nostalgic feel . . .(boy do I remember the days of canning dill pickles in those big zinc lidded jars!) Beautifully done, Karen.

I love that dp! So like that glorious tree in the photo. Such a fun card with the double opening. Well done!
