Yep, I know it's daunting. It had been on my to-do list (in a mini version, with shot glasses) since before Christmas. I do encourage you to try - we all have more time than normal on our hands, and Anita offers options for a DIY pouring medium (I was going to use white glue, but I got lucky and picked some DecoArt medium up when I visited my sister just before lockdown), and even just paint and water.
It's messy, but fun...
My bigger pieces all made me think of the sea, but I tried my dolphin and seahorse edgers with them and they just looked meh. So they stayed sitting by my desk, and stayed, and stayed. Then DH had to give me a birthday card from my stash, which reminded me of this stamp, and the other thing this particular panel reminded me of was Monet - so I was sorted...
I embossed a piece of heavy vellum with SU pinewood planks and sponged it with blue pearl alcohol ink for the pond. Stamped the image on light watercolour paper and coloured with Polychromos pencils, and fussy-cut. I added SN clear glitter pen to the butterfly, and glossy accents to the lily pad. I replaced the stamped cord with silver cord...
I added a 6" frame over this and mounted it onto a 6 1/2" white base. I was going to use a stamped birthday sentiment but it was too small, so I added a die-cut Hello from gold ard instead.

This is magnificent Sabrina! As soon as I saw this gorgeous card I thought it looked like a Monet painting so I love reading how you saw that too. The way you created the water is really ingenious and creates the perfect setting for your gorgeous water Lily and hungry frog. The gold in your dainty butterfly and lovely sentiment really draws out the golds in your stunning background. This is truly breathtaking Sabrina and was a real joy for me to see on a Monday morning.
