okay here goes---LOL---have white card base, then worl map dp to cover whole front, then light blue that I stamped on, then stamped like beach scene on different paper, adding grass, and birds---LOL--no PARROTS did I own, then cut out with wavy pattern, and glued on the bottom. stamped the ahoy and punched out, used 2 different dies to cut the brown piece like life ring, wrapped twine around it and added half gems, die cut circle stamped on it and added the sentiment. Then is the owl punched out, gave him stripe front, cut one foot like the feet off to make peg leg, cut a sword, added eyes---one with a patch over it, and the hat is black half of a punched owl---no birds were hurt in the cutting, whew that is it and you should see my craft room---it is covered with every thing as pulled out so much stuff, lay down then started picking and choosing what want to use, Hard challenge at first for me as not have pirate or bird or ship but did see the owl but no directions so just went with it.

I really like those shorebirds in amongst the grass. And I really liked the way you wrapped the twine around the ring for the lifebelt. But the real show-stealer is your wonderful pirate owl with his sparkly hat. Oh - cool stamping in the background, too.

So clever to use the owl punch to make a pirate! So creative! Great us of the ships's wheel and the porthole as well! Perfect card for this challenge! Thanks for coming to the Teaparty!

Ditto what all the other Teapotters said. DonnaJeanne I loved reading your fun description and of course seeing the terrific end result. Your pirate owl is genius - love the foot!!! This will no doubt bring lots of smiles to Teri. I know I'm grinning.

Terrific job creating the pirate owl for the challenge. I just used my pirate image so I had to get creative for my card for this week. Now I totally think I should have looked at my dies for more fun. Thank you for the inspiration.
