I cut a panel of watercolor paper to 3-1/2x4-3/4". The flower stamp was just larger than that, & I wanted it to hang off the edges just a smidge. I stamped the flower with Versamark, and heat embossed with Liquid Platinum. I painted the background with green watercolor, using the wet-in-wet technique. Since I only had an hour to finish this card, I decided to be looser on the flower than I have in the past. So I just dropped in light purple watercolor on the blooms, and then added Phthalo Turquoise watercolor. I kept these colors very wet so they would blend. I then dried it with my heat tool.
I wanted to continue the "messy" look and add interest to the panel. So I spattered the Red Gold & Yellow Gold paints from the Starry Colors set liberally over the panel. I dried that with my heat tool so I could heat emboss the greeting (from "Mondo Magnolia") in Navy. Then I added a navy mat, trimming it to 1/16"on all sides, and adhered it to a lavender panel that I'd mounted to a white card base. I did end up using an entire hour on this card!
