Jen (JenniFrann) has asked we show our friendships garden for her Florapalooza challenge. I love gardening. It is my passion and was my vocation for a long time. The concept of a friendship garden is quite interesting. If you've lived a certain number of years, you've probably gathered many types of friends in your garden. The bold, fussy types (think Icelandic Poppies, Clematis, Hydrangeas) or the steady, faithful ones (Columbines, Forget-me-nots), or old standards (English Roses, the ones that give fragrance, Daisies, Hollyhocks, and Wisteria). So many personalities, all beautiful in their own ways.
And so I am counting my blessings to have and had many friends in my garden. Some to nurture me, some to teach me lessons I desperately needed to learn, some that came for a season, and many just a brief passing. I want to keep planting seeds for the future...I need that promise of another season...how about you?
oh, and I got off topic! A simple card. The Technique Junkies 'scorecard' was embossed. The precious flower angel was stamped and embossed with clear detail ep. I colored the wings with Lumiere 'Silks' and watercolored her dress. The DP is Basic Grey 'Urban Couture'.
Thanks for stopping by...may your garden be spouting new friends and those priceless friends who return year after year, refreshed and ready for...

I love your take on my challenge, Susan! I count you as one of the blessings in my friendship garden. Your write-up got me thinking of the friendship and family represented in my garden. I can walk through my yard and identify the plants given to me by our mothers and aunts and cousins. The lilies that my sister-in-law gave to Desmond for his birthday. The hydrangea from hubby's grandmother's funeral. The bush planted from a cutting from my mother's yard that we posed in front of for our prom photos. Gardens are really special!

Susan, my dear friend! I keep forgetting to swing by this card again and say thank you for sending it to me. I was so excited when I saw your name on an envelope in my mailbox as you've always been one of my favorite artists! And this card is so meaningful and beautiful. Thank you so much!
