I knew I wanted to do a big central flower, so I looked to find a pretty leaf punch or die. I didn't have any in my stash, so turned to looking for digital cutting files. Monica Bjork from Sweden is a talented artist who has made many different styles of cutting files available at no cost on her blog (https://monicascreativeroom.se/category/cutting-files/). She has a gorgeous leaf edge pattern that I fell in love with. I cut her pattern "Fancy_Card_Edge_25" out of Stampin' Up! (SU) Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and mounted it as a top panel on top of my SU Old Olive A2 card base.
The central flower is stamped and die cut from SU "Flower Patch" stamp set, and it's matching SU die set "Flower Fair Framelits Dies". I adhered each of the four layers of the flower together with Mini Glue Dots to give a bit of depth to the flower. It was glued to the front panel using Tombow.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set. It was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then die cut using one of the larger SU "Stitched Nested Labels Dies" to accommodate the width of the sentiment. I then used the next larger die to die cut the top and bottom parts of the large die-cut so it didn't have so much white space above and below the stamped sentiment. This was then glued to the card front.
I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" since you could use an edge die or punch to create a similar look. I think this will be a nice card to send to a friend.
