Toady's challenge was to make a watercolor bg on Black cardstock. I didn't have high hopes since I only have CHEAPO kids watercolors - but OH MY Godness - I love the look I got!!
I swiped the darker colors in my tray onto black cardstock (since my test piece had dried considerably lighter than it does on white cardstock) Randomly stamped bits of music over the color in frost white, then did the same with a texture stamp. So far so Good . . . .
The hardest part of this was deciding what to stamp as my focal point. I didn't want to ruin my bg so I "tested" images by stamping them in white on acrylic and overlaying them on the bg so I could see how they looked against it before I committed to it.
I REALLY love the sheer look of the colors I got with this technique!

WOW awesome card Linda...you got great results with the cheapo watercolors. I agree about the stamp..that probably was the hardest part...deciding which one to use...I love yours!

Super sentiment and image, Linda. And a gorgeous background. I'm curious about watercolours you could swipe? I know what you mean about not wanting to spoil the background...that was an anxious moment for me.
