For Lyn's TLC782 Joseph's Coat challenge. Delighted she featured this, as it's something I've been wanting to try with DOX ink, and I definitely am much happier with this than with preceding attempts over the years.
With the technique result, not so much with the card. I should have waited, but I'm out for the day tomorrow and won't have time when I get home...
Sponged all the colours except black onto the base, and allowed to dry. Stamped the feathers in Versamark, embossed, then sponged over with the black.
Today I was sewing something for my aunt, so with the machine still on the desk, I added some green stitching around the edge of the piece.
Then what to do??? I pulled out several bird stamps, then remembered Les Piafs. Stamped this one on a square of watercolour paper that was already pre-cut. Embossed with clear EP, then coloured quickly with Mermaid Markers, used a little Mowed Lawn for the grass. Added the sentiment from Purple Onion - he looks as if it's not a happy day, and I can identify with the feeling.
After popping it up on foam on the base, I decided it needed framing so I used a tiny feather stamp - it's not perfect but I think it's better than it was.
Be along to comment when I can - might have time while travelling tomorrow. Thanks for a fun challenge, Lyn.

I love the colors you used for the BG feathers and it is nice when our sewing machines are already out that we can add a bit of stitching. Mine is almost always put away and is very heavy to pull out so I don't do it often. Great fun image for this super card too Sabrina.

Those wispy peacock feathers really work with the black "overcoat" - and Les Piafs - well, what is there to say - His attitude and personality shine through as if to say "Monsieur, I am too manly to be surrounded by all these foo-foo peacock feathers . . ."

This is just fantastic Sabrina. This bird is such a hoot and brought a big smile to my face. I adore the background you created with these wonderful feathers! ~Karen.
