I have a bunch of of vintage cloth calendars from the 60-80's that my mother saved and I like to reuse those. I didn't have a 1964 or a 1992, this being leap year, but I am tipping my hat to that style by using a motif from a vintage wallpaper book that has a linen look. I cut it down to size, added the mini calendars and the words Daily Grind. Adding the string of red bling was quicker than adding sequins, which is another signature to that style of old calendars. Remember those? Do you have any?

My grandma use to have those same cloth calendars. She reused the calendars so that she never had to buy a new one. I believe she told me there are 17 different ways calendar dates line up and she had a cloth calendar to match each of the 17 different ways of a yearly calendar. Great card inspired by the cloth calendars.

No, I don't know those calendars at all, but the wallpaper gives a great fabric effect and I do remember that sort of coffee grinder. Sometimes I think we should have one in case of power cuts.

You’ve sparked lots of grandmotherly memories today, neighbor! Love the coffee grinder and of course, you’d have the wallpaper book...so ripe with future ideas as well!

Not my grandmother, but my mother used to have cloth calendars. I guess I'm dating myself, oh well. I have an old fashioned, or retro, or antique coffee grinder too. Cute presentation for the challenge, Lori~

Wow, that wallpaper mimics linen so well. I do remember those calendars. Pretty pattern, love the coffee grinder with the daily grind sentiment. And, bonus with the added calendar! Thanks for the trip down memory lane and for playing in my challenge.
