This card is for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge and the first of the year hosted by Jacqueline who said:
"Incorporate elements from above to create a card for any occasion/theme of your choosing. Here are some ideas: Make a birthday or thinking of you card for someone who was born in a rat year; use two or three elements (lucky numbers) in your design; use real or faux metal elements, incorporate blue, green and/or gold into your color scheme."
Pop on over to the challenge found here: MMTPT598 - January 7, 2020 - Year of the Rat by jacqueline at Splitcoaststampers to see what is going on.
I got the colours and the faux metal and the mouse / rat.
I was going to give this card to my daughter for her 41st birthday but I saw her at Christmas so have now decided to send it to a card making friend for her birthday whom I have never met, I think that might qualify lol.
How did I create this card, first I blended the three colours together with my blending brushes then I spritzed the background with the home made glimmer mist.
Next on some separate blending card I stamped the mouse and coloured him / her with my copic markers: listed above.
I fussy cut the image and mounted it onto some craft foam.
Next I cut out the greeting three times and sandwiched them together then I pounced my Versa Mark pad over the greetings.
Here's the trick:I then put silver and gold embossing powder randomly over the greeting and applied heat. this gives it a kind of metallic look.
Next I sandwiched all the card layers together including the blended topper.
I glued the little mouse onto the card then I glued the greeting on and finally I punched out the stars (after I spent half an hour looking for a star die then realized it was a border punch. I really have to catalogue all my stuff but it could take years)
I randomly glues the stars on using SU Fine Tip Glue and that's it folks.
Thank you for looking

I really like the way your sentiment looks with the dual colored embossing - it really does give it a rick look! The bg is beautifully blended and the little HM seems mesmerized by the explosion of stars from his bowl.

Beautifully done, Marg. One of my favourite PB images. I like your stencilled stars above him. Oops, now I read all the way to the end I see they are punched - still a great dimensional effect. The sentiment is beautiful. I love the effect of randomly mixed EP.
