I'm very late uploading this card although I have had it done for a day or two.
It is primarily for the Teapot challenge and because it is the end of the month we are sending cards to each other. I will be posting this one tomorrow.
I decided to add it to the Technique Challenge with a little faux stitching on the bottom border bar, only an hour or two to go before this weeks technique will be up so just squeezing in.
I have also used the colour challenge colours for this past week, twenty four hours to go before that one is up. Likewise the teapot challenge.
As I have said before, I'm not all that good with fancy folds etc. so I kept it simple.
I have seen this sketch somewhere minus the fold and really liked it. I think it suits the colours without making the card too heavy.
I did the quote (it's from Eleanor Roosevelt) in silver leaving quite a bit of black card to the side; I then printed the digi image from Power Poppy, I wanted a big flower and Marcella's Flouncy Peony was perfect.
The most time consuming part of this card was the water colouring. I have found that if I want to use digis and print them off this is the best card for the job. It will take a reasonable amount of water if your not saturating the card, the printer ink don't bleed and it has a very nice shimmery sparkle to it.
I measured it all up using the red matting as a guide then cut both the quote and the Peony together to give me a flush join which ended up being perfect but then I decided to bling it up with some ribbon. lol
Hope my tickle from the Teapotters likes it.
Thanks for looking cheers Marg

How elegant and classy looking. Your peony is stunning, and beautifully displayed with your elegant design and clean lines contrasting with its petals.

Marg, your coloring of that pink peony is breath-taking.......the entire card is gorgeous. A wonderful sentiment too.
(I think of you when I see on the news the horrific fires that are occuring in Australia. It is a big country and the fires are in one part....I hope you and your loved ones are safe and away from such devastation)

I think peony's are so elegant and feminine and this one is no exception - beautifully colored and the silver embossed sentiment on black is gorgeous, too.
