Susan has an amazing gallery. Her gorgeous roses card especially grabbed me. I was planning to use an older SU set, but then I was reminded of a set I have struggled with using. One of my crafty goals for 2020 is to master this set or let it go. The rose and leaves are four step; I struggle with getting the layers matched up and with choosing four shades of a color to build the stamping. Susan's card gave me a little push to try again. This is the best I have achieved so far, although far from perfect. I only did one rose as it was so complex. Other changes: different theme, scattered pearls, no trim, added splatter, colored card base and sentiment on separate die-cut rectangle. Thank you Susan for sharing your fabulous cards with us and for inspiring me!
Teapotters Challenge for Karen Margotta aka Art Deco Diva: encouraging messages and extra cookies for pink ribbon
Karen and I are birthday buddies and my heart was saddened to learn that she is battling cancer again. She has been in my thoughts and prayers ever since; I am thrilled to finally finish this card for her today. Seeing cards Karen has posted inspire me in many ways, such as purchasing the sentiment set I used for my card. I stamped a verse from Hebrews 13:5 that has become very special to me this past year and hopefully will be encouraging for Karen. The sentiment is heat embossed and the panel is held on by the ribbon looped through two notches punched on the rectangle and white panel.
Thanks for looking!

I'd have loved to see Roses in Winter, if that's what you were thinking of. But I think you succeeded in mastering this and I'm sure you know now that you are keeping it, it looks beautiful. And what a comforting verse for Karen. I like the way you did the ribbon to add the sentiment panel.
