Sabrina is hosting this fun "Last Tickle a Teapotter" for 2019. After failing miserably at a proper easel fold, I decided to make a cardstock/acetate easel, using a real little wooden easel as a template.
The frame is made with cardstock from my stash, made by dragging ink pads directly over cardstock. I reinforced it with kraft card to ompf up the strength. The acetate is from a packaging box, I used my ScorPal to get a good strong fold.
The front legs are adhered to the acetate and the back leg just rests against the outside back of the acetate. Does that make sense, it's so hot here, nothing much is making sense LOL.
I made Mandy Monet a little hat and added a long bow to look like an artistes smock. The original digi image has her holding a flower, I tried to turn it into a paint brush, but looking at the picture it looks more like a pitch fork. Mandy is adhered to a small strip of acetate, the strip is only adhered to the base, from her hips down, the painting slides in behind her.
The weirdo arty painting was made by sprinkling Brusho powder onto glossy photo paper and then squirting it with ironing spray starch. The starch isn't as wet as water, also a spray can seems to move the Brusho powder move effectively than a water spritzer.
The painting sits on the easel as the cross bar has some depth between the acetate. If the Teapotter who receives this isn't into weirdo arty stuff, it can quickly be replaced with something more pleasing.
I can't wait to see what the new decade of wonderful teaparties brings. Thank you for looking and Happy New Year.

I think you’ll find Mandy is calling that “abstract” or perhaps even “modernist” - definitely not “weirdo”! Love the creative easel and you managed to squeeze in the trademark Susie pearl dots - yay! Hope your air quality is not to appalling and the fires are staying at a reasonable distance so you’re safe.

Come on..who isn't into weirdo arty stuff? LOL I think your acetate easel is a magic easel...maybe she can paint some rain and cooler weather to send to Australia. Mandy Monet's pitchfork er ah paint brush is pretty funny...perhaps she's the daughter of the Grant Wood couple. Cute and creative as always. ;)

What a clever, creative easel card! I bet it's one of a kind in more ways than a Susie original. Mandy is adorable, but might need some lessons on taking care of brushes ;) Love your abstract Brusho panel. I've got my spray starch upstairs, just need to try your technique. Thanks for the inspiration and education you've provided over the years. I'm always tickled by your cards!

Fantastic easel card creation Susie! Love that sassy little artist, Mandy Monet! What a great way to start the New Year! I would be thrilled to pieces to receive this fun work of art! Thinking of you often with news of the terrible wildfires! Sending hugs and prayers for rain!

You're killing me here, Susie! This is thinking outside the clear box for sure and once again allow us to see into your artful soul. I hope I have a chance to play this week as I would love a shot at owning this inspiring piece. Fav'd!

Enchanting and delightful; I might have thought it was Polly's with Mandy from Vera Lane if I hadn't got the email saying it was yours. I love the hat you gave her, and it certainly does look like an artist's smock. Made me think of the ones we had, I think they were French, when we were fairly small. I think it looks more like a flower than a pitchfork ;-). Very cleverly done, Susie - a brilliant take on the challenge.
Stay safe!

Mandy may be a bit quirky but then aren't all artists in some respect. The literal easel is a fun aspect and I can definitely appreciate Mandy's "Retrospect in Blue" abstract painting.
