After years and years of avoiding trying an easel card, I finally tried it today (thanks, Sabrina). It turned out to be SO much EASIER than I thought it could possibly be. The challenge for this week's Teapot Tuesday is to make an easel card, and Sabrina is our hostess. I also used the watercolor spritz technique (I can't remember the name SCS uses for this technique, but you ink up the stamp with a marker, spritz water on it, and stamp for a watercolor effect). That was the optional "painting" technique for the challenge.
Other than that, it's all self-explanatory. Stamped flowers and butterflies, added ribbon. Stamped sentiment, cut to fit, punched border and created the stopper panel for the easel.
It's the last Teapot Tuesday of the year/decade, so come join the fun.

This turned out great Sandy! I avoided easel cards, too but they aren't bad. This is like a breath of Spring....very welcome as we just got 4" of snow. A lovely card for some lucky Teapotter.

Your misted stamping gives such a nice watercolor effect. I like the pink ribbon that picks up the pink in the blossom. Good job on your first easel card.

Super cute! Very happy and fun too. I remember being afraid to try an easel too and the realizing how easy it was. This will be a treasured card with all its cheerfulness. Happy New Year!

Oh, sweet! Well done for trying something new (actually, I think the hardest thing is describing to non card-makers how to set it up, but that's not going to be a problem in a tickle ;-)).They are easy, aren't they! I like your colours, and the soft watercoloured look of your little wildflower garden.

I'm the lucky teapotter that received this beautiful card! The picture does not do your card justice, Sandy. The marker stamping is such a lovely watercolor look for those pretty flowers and ferns.
