I created an A2 size panel from Dollar Tree photo paper, and got 4 cards out of it, including this one. I smooshed Distress Oxide inks onto my non-stick craft mat, spritzed each with a bit of water, and tapped/smooshed my photo paper into the ink puddles. I made sure to heat set each layer before adding more ink. I cut the panel down to use for the first 2 cards, and had about half left over. I used most of that leftover piece for this card. I stamped the deer from "Deck the Halls" in Black Soot Distress Oxide ink, & then ran a baby wipe over the panel. I have not done this technique often, but it still seems really magical to see the bold colors pop from the dull (and frankly rather ugly) background, after just wiping it with a baby wipe! I did go in with a black Sharpie, to color over the eyes, ears, & spots on the deer, and add a ground line, just to make it a true silhouette.
I cut strips from 3 patterned papers in the "Happy Holidays" pad, and adhered them to a black panel. I trimmed that to be a 1/16" mat, and adhered it to a white card base. I matted my image panel in Bazzill Icy Mint cardstock, then added a black mat to that before adhering it to my card.
I used a greeting from "Color Layering Partridge." I die cut & embossed the banner first, and inked over it lightly with Salty Ocean Distress ink before removing it from the die. Finally, I stamped the greeting in Black Shimmer ink, & adhered it to my card.
