The MISTI challenge is to have two textures in the background. I inked the Tropical Leaf stencil with a blender brush, Pear Pizzazz ink on matching paper, then added Versamark and clear embossed. It gave quite a bit of texture for the background layer. Then I cut a doily from Vellum with a SU die that is retired. That was another kind of texture. The flowers and leaves are all heat embossed with clear embossing powder after stamping with Versafine Black Onyx ink. I heat emboss quite a bit when watercoloring. I used the SU inks and a waterbrush on the flowers and leaves. They are either added on top of the vellum with foam adhesive for dimension or glue dots. This will be a nice card to send to someone in the middle of winter.

Congratulations on being the Featured Stamper this week! Your gallery is terrific! I chose this one for my inspiration as it got me in a tropical mood and I thought it would make a nice birthday card for someone who lives where it is cold. I read that you had the same thought. Great minds think alike! Loved all the sparkle and shine on your card. Beautiful flowers and papers. Great job!
