I made an art journal this week, inspired by late summer cone flowers, now all gone. I wanted to create the look of a whole bunch of flowers against a background of dense greenery.
Start by adhering torn pieces of old book paper to the page, then cover with a coat of gesso. Paint with shades of green.
Stamp the flowers on the glossy side of white tissue paper and tear around the images. Adhere them to the background by adding a layer of glossy medium under the design, carefully place the image into the medium, and then add a second layer of medium on top.
Paint the flowers with acrylic paint and when dry, add details with a black pen and a white gel pen. Stamp sentiments on the page and apply texture paste through a stencil.
Thank you so much for having a look at my project!
Happy stamping!
