First I want to say a Big Thank You to the design team for inviting me to be a guest designer for the month of November. I am SO excited to be here with you all! Today I have created this Christmas card...I know...Iâm skipping a season. Iâm sure Iâll come back to Fall soon Karen chose some Awesome colors to work with AGAIN<3. The Poppy Parade, Pool Party, and Old olive are perfect for all occasions but it pulled me into the winter/Christmas direction this time. I really like the Kraft on black look so that is where I started. Next, I chose my stamps...which actually just came in the mail soooo...I had to use them. Choosing the colors...well...that was easy. Lol I saw the dessert option and BAAM...my creative light bulb started to flicker. I stamped and started to color my image when I thought...I really donât want to fussy cut this image but I need some dimension. So I decided to just fussy cut the tip of the tree so I could slip the sentiment behind it to bring some depth to the card. I added the twine and lights to balance out the poppy parade on the card. Being that I used Kraft paper instead of of white for the figures, my colors were all thrown off a bit. I tried to correct it by layering the ink. Iâm not sure if it worked as well as I wanted but it will do.
I canât wait to see what you all have in store for us this week...so go...create...and enjoy yourselves

I LOVE the way you've used the colors here, Kari. The tree, in particular, has such dimension with multiple colors and the way your Poppy Parade pops is simply wonderful.

Be a great card for a newlywed couple celebrating their first Christmas together. With the featureless faces they can project their own faces onto the images.

Oh my gosh Kari, your card is just a delight! Love the sweet couple colored on Kraft, with snowfall inked in. Plus you've added such wonderful details with the string of lights and the beautiful twisted and knotted twine, both of which add so much for the eye to take in. Totally gorgeous!
