I started with the Scan n Cut bee pattern cut from all white. Colored the little pieces with Oxides and Alcohol markers, and hand cut the wings from the shape out of a patterned vellum-like wrapping paper. It needed more texture so I ran them through an embossing envelope. Also ran the bottom of buzzer's body with a crimper. The circle is cut from an alcohol inked piece Gracie, JRHolbrook, sent for the last tea party swap. All were assembled onto a woven blind sample. One can bend the top out of the hemp tied flap to open. The inside shows a beehive and the sentiment: "Hive been thinking about you". This is a little more cutesy than my typical style, but she's grown on me.

Sorry about your back! So easy to do, I hope it's ok now. Your bee was worth waiting for. I just love all the texture in his wings, and the way you used a crimper for the body. And the blind sample is super looking. Well dinner on fitting the apple red in so nicely.

Wow Lori, how super duper creative is this. I had completely forgotten about my crimper.....you never fail to inspire me (at least it didn't cost me any money this time Lol, I've got 2 crimpers) I love how you used a real life sample on your card.

Love your creativity! What a great idea to use your crimper! (Mine is gathering dust somewhere in my craft room...) So smart to pull out what you have on hand, & make something this fantastic!
