Such a super site this week! There were a lot of things I wanted to use for inspiration, but I kept coming back to THIS picture.
After I die cut the trees, deer & a white front, I sponged the Distress inks down another white panel, then splattered it w/ some picket fence Distress stain. The die cuts were attached (I used a black Prismacolor pencil on the birch trees) & the little scene was spritzed w/ a shimmer spray.
After I decided how tall to make my little scene, I used my Resizing Technique to divide the top white panel in two, then shorten them. I had some corrugated white cardboard saved from a light bulb pkg, so I used it to pop up the 2 white panel a bit. Stickles was used on the white snowflake & a few clear sequins for additional sparkle.
Thanks so much for looking. Closeups & product links are on my blog: The Write Stuff

I can see why you kept coming back to this scene. I love the way you used the panels to indent the trees and deer. Beautiful card.

A delightful Christmas card in great non traditional colors! Looks like you had fun as well. I appreciate the link to the resizing...I’ve now bookmarked it.
Question for you, do you create each bg specific to a card, or do you have a mega background session, over a cold refreshing beverage? (grinning here)
