The MISTI Monday challenge is to use red/white/blue but not a patriotic theme. I thought these tiny watermelon slices were the perfect touch for a summer themed card so into the shaker bubble they went. I tried to stamp on the red burlap with white craft ink but even several tries with the MISTI did not produce good coverage over the bumpy surface so I went to plan B and covered up the blob with a small tag. So, it's still the best summer, even with a slight miss.

Yum! You are making my mouth water with these watermelon slices. I remember the summer months of walking in the fields to pick the watermelons. My Dad would cut them. I walked behind to pick up the ones he cut, and then I had to toss them to my brother who was in the truck. He would catch them and pile them up. Sometimes I was in the truck catching them. Both jobs were hard. Some of those watermelons were huge. I sure was stronger as a teen than I am now. Love your card!!!
