This card is for the VSN challenge hosted by Kelly aka sunstamper it is a Rock & Roll Technique challenge and is in keeping with the overall theme of the VSN âeoeRock Starâe
This card is a single layer card and would make a good CAS card. The technique is easy to do so long as you choose solid stamps. I used three colours on the large flowers SU Daffodil Delight over the whole stamp then rolled Marigold Morning (subbing for Mango Melody) and then lightly rolled Pumpkin Pie around the edges. For the smaller flowers I left the Pumpkin Pie off.
I stamped the central large flower first then masked it and stamped the other flowers around it. Next I added some leaves first inking the stamp with SU Green Galore then rocking a little Gumball Green onto the leaf.
I used the quote from the SU Cottage Garden stamp set positioned it with my SU Stamparatus, inked it up with SU markers Cucumber Crush and Pumpkin Pie. I have trouble getting these stamps completely straight and didn't spend enough time positioning it consequently it is slightly crooked but had no time to muck about with it soâe¦..it's a handmade card so not perfect lol. I also over stamped with Versa Mark and clear heat embossed because that's what I do.
Once this was done, I sponged the edges added the sparkley centres and then added some liquid pearls to the little flowers and some Nuvo Glitter Drops for a little more interest. Card done, however I did let it dry over night before taking the photo.
VSN is a challenge run three or four times a year and is held over two days Friday and Saturday USA ET or Saturday and Sunday EST Australia, with often a mini VSN a few weeks' earlier just so you can get into the swing of things. You have an hour to make each card with a challenge going up every hour.
I love to try and do my challenges live but sometimes life gets in the way and so everyone just must have their cards uploaded within a week of the challenge. It is an honour system that you only take an hour to make your card and that is part of the challenge, it is amazing how it hones your creativity.
Anyone can join in the fun and this VSN is from 5th and 6th July or 6th and 7th if you're in Australia with final uploads on the 15th July. We have many of our SCS members provide inspiration for an amazing weekend.

Very pretty card! Thanks for the detailed explanation on how to create it. I really like your "plug" for VSN. It really is so much fun and I'd love to see the participant list grow. Thanks for joining my challenge.

Gorgeous card! Thanks for the instructions too ... I'll have to try using 3 colors to rock & roll. I also really like the embellishments and the layout. I forgot that white space can be a good thing .
