Jeanne has a beautiful selection of colors this week: Granny Apple Green + Melon Mambo + Blushing Bride with Stripes for dessert. As something special this month we are doing Christmas in July as an extra option - all month long.
These aren't your traditional Christmas colors but I didn't have any trouble using them with this not so traditional snowman with a striped scarf.
I like to use the light Lovely Lipstick blends for Melon Mambo with a little bit of dark for shading.
I drew the stripes using a clear quilting ruler. They are 1/4" apart. I colored them with Blends (plus extra carefully with the Blushing Bride marker.)
I hope you'll be able to join in the color challenge. This is really a fun combination to use. So many possibilities whether you use a Christmas theme or not!

You really worked dessert in wonderfully Chris, with the background stripes carrying through the stripes in the scarf. The stacked snowman is so cute and makes such a fun holiday card!

How adorable, Chris! I love your background stripes and am in awe of how professional they look; I thought you'd found the perfect DS paper! And oh! You are very bad for my wallet. I hadn't even noticed this set in the catalog, and now it's at the top of my shopping list! What a cute image, so perfectly colored!
