I started with a star patterned stencil, added 3 strips of washi tape and sponged on some blue, red & gray Pan Pastels. I brayed on a thin layer of clear acrylic glaze, hoping for a brighter look. I like the soft and grayed-out result. Yes, it did stain my gel plate, but I'm OK with it. I had the perfect size open star to stamp over selected stars, some red, some blue and some in gold glitter EP. MS Liberty was cut out from a vintage envelope and she covers most of the grey stripes. I embossed both sentiments and added some star stickers for more balance. Gotta say I am tempted to add some blush to that girl.

A fabulous Patriotic Birthday card. Love the stenciled background and the use of 3 strips of washi tape. Thanks, for helping me remember that my BIL has a July 3rd birthday.

Beautiful bg from the stenciling on gel plate and awesome enhancement with the stamped, embossed, and metallic sticker add-ins. Super setting for your Lady Liberty.
