This get well card was made as a Design Team card for Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #421 which had an optional theme of "flying things".
I chose the cute little bird from Stampin' Up! (SU) 2011 "Language of Friendship" for the central imag. For the required horizontal stripes, I used an unbranded Washi Tape of two rows of birds on wires.
The bird was hand colored, then mounted on a stitched circle using adhesive foam strips. The blue circle itself was mounted using a circle of kids fun foam I cut out with the same die as the blue circle. I used the Copics B21 marker to color the edges of the foam before gluing to make the edges blend in with the background cardstock.
All the rectangular and circle shapes were die cut with stitched dies to pull the card into a cohesive look. The bird and its wing were stamped with black ink, then since there are no matching dies, I used my Brother ScanNCut2 digital cutter to cut them out with a 0.04" white border.
I am rating the difficulty level of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5" since It was pretty straightforward to use the dies for all the shapes.
I am rating the difficulty
