This is my sample for CC739. Jeanne is our hostess and she chose blushing bride, so saffron and pool party for her color trio. Dessert Option this week is an event card. Oops, I didn't take a close enough look, and I thought birthday was one of the options.
I needed a birthday card for a female friend, and these subtle colors were perfect for a girlie type card. I had an old MFT #234 sketch saved on Pinterest and that's my card layout. I also saved this card idea on one of my boards using this same sketch. That's my inspiration. I changed colors, different sentiment and added some enamel dots.
The ice cream cone die is from MFT and I cut the 5 ice cream scoops in the challenge colors. The cone is cut in baked brown sugar (a neutral) cardstock. The background dsp is from the Stampin'-Up subtles collection.
I cut a banner in blushing bride cardstock and stamped my happy birthday sentiment. Finished off my card with some pink enamel dots.
Hope you can play along with us this week. We would love to see your creative ideas for these colors in the CC gallery.

Mary, what a cute and fun card you have created. I love your ice cream cones, I am trying to forget how yummy they look. The colors were perfect for scoops of ice cream.

Vanilla, pistache and strawberry ice cream that's what I'm dreaming about right now...we were in the mountains this afternoon and it was very warm, so an ice cream would be excellent!! super card design!!

Oh, Mary, I haven't even eaten breakfast yet, and you're making me want dessert! These ice cream cones are so yummy looking. I love that the cones have score lines in them, and the shading on the scoops gives them added dimension. Really cute, fun card!
