This is for the tutorial this week to use prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I chose to use a small image and see what kind of scene I could create. I sketched the trees, fence and grassy sprigs with an artist pen. The tree leaves don't look textured like if I had used my fern stamp and I'm not sure I like the look as well. The colors pop up really nicely with the gamsol but take more work to me than watercoloring with reinkers. I've had these pencils for quite a long while now but have not turned to them since I feel in love with reinkers. I wanted to make myself pull them out and try again. I enjoyed myself and felt really challenged as this pulled me out of my comfort zone.

Very pretty, the trees are more impressionistic than your others that you do! Reminds me of late spring before the leaves have fullyn opened and they arer still soft and feathery! You have me hunting for this set Kittie!

I like what you have done Kittie! I have no clue why but your trees remind me of the trees we saw in Texas. The linen background is perfect and really adds a nice backdrop to your painting. Another sweet scene! ~tfs
