I struggled with this card today. Flowers and this Frosted Coffee Filter technique are both not me. I kept having to throw things at the card until I finally decided it was done and I finally like it. I hope Caterina likes it!
I started with the Frosted Coffee Filter tutorial that Melissa linked up in her "Fueled by Caffeine" VSN Challenge. And decided to cut a strip and wrap it on my main panel like a ribbon. I used a springy EF and some paper that matched my reinkers pretty well and then I grabbed my paper flowers. But when I started to stick my flowers onto the card, they just didn't look quite right. So I die cut some greenery and that helped. But the card was still off balance. So I figured I'd add some iridescent sequins. But that wasn't enough. So I grabbed this stitched banner and wrote hello on it. But it still didn't quite look right. So I stamped three little hearts on each side. Finally! It's still not very me, but it's fun to get out of my comfort zone sometimes!

This a bit different than your usual but I think it turned out great! I love the bright yellow and the strip of the coffee filter paper. Those flowers and the snazzy hello will be a day brightener for our recipient.

Well, I love it! I spotted it earlier, but was coming back after dinner to comment. I think the bright colours are just fantastic, love the filter strip and the embossed panel combination.

This is another reason why I like these fast challenges. We get to surprise ourselves, differently than normal, and oh, the things we learn, right? I love how bright and sunny and cheerful this is and every addition you made looks like it was part of the plan. Using your coffee filter as a ribbon was a great idea.

I am so glad you persisted, cos the end result is absolutely gorgeous Jen. I loved reading about how this came together. Everything you create is super special. Thanks so much for adding this beauty to the Teaparty.

What a truly happy hello card this is Jenn and one that Caterina will absolutely love! Some cards truly do take on a life of their own and lead us down a winding road, and in the end, they are our best cards. I adore the blues and yellows you used on this card- everything about this is happy and will make Caterina smile every time she looks at this! ~Karen.

I love the cheerful, happy colours on this lovely card, Jen! I think the flowers look very pretty with the foliage on the green panel against the fabulous embossed bg! I know I would be delighted to receive a card like this!
