For the Ways to Use It Challenge (WT725) the theme is Going Dotty. I have a lot of little dots of Stickles so I think that will work. And while it's been reeeeaaaaalllly cold here & we've had some ice & snow, I know all of you in the upper midwest have had a brutal time of it, so this for you! I'm guessing the people attached to these mittens live in those areas. Sheesh! I don't even own any mittens. I did just finish knitting myself a pair of fingerless mitts. I figure that's about all I'm going to need.
To make my snowy card, I stamped the mitten part of the image once fully, then partially on each side, masking off the the greeting part. After coloring, I die cut the top edge & added the lt blue bg on which I stamped the Snow Bg w/ blue ink. I added a lime green frame to help give it some interest, added some snowflakes & a little stickles for sparkle.
Thanks so much for looking. Closeups & Copic colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Into my favorites with this cute card. It has been a miserable winter for so many. We have been spared here in South Texas, but I am praying for those who are experiencing such harsh cold temperatures. I think I will still take my scorching summers to cold.

Julie, what a clever, fun card. My hand is raised and it is hot here compared to some places. I think I would like to skip winter every year. Cute snowflakes and it is all just so creative.

Yeah, I'm ready for the temps to go back up. Went out for the first time today and fell in a parking lot. Just letting the dog in and out has been a chore.
Love the card! The added stickles dots and snowflakes pull it all together so well!

How cute is this? I love your card and my hand is raised. We've had wind chill temps 30-40 degrees below 0 lately. I love the soft blue color with the white, and the mittens are adorable. A very creative card, Julie.

Thanks for the laugh, Julie. Looks like these people should move way South if they want to skip winter. Are they like in Canada or something? Lol Cute winter scene complete with snowflakes and snow mounds~
