Sending sunshine and warm fuzzy thoughts for the Teapot Challenge.
Really - at the moment I can arrange to send as much hot sunshine as anyone wants - just let me know. We are at the start of another hot heat wave again this week - and it is only going to get worse for the weekend. Sunshine and heat anyone. I am willing to swap it for some lovely steady rain - a few day's worth would be nice.
I finished off this card this afternoon - sitting under the air conditioning vent. I will send this card to Cheryl and another one that I made last week (again in the heat) for her husband Walt. I will link that card to the Challenge after loading up this one. I hope that is OK with every one. At the moment it is just getting too hot to even think about doing very much at all in the way of crafting. I think it would be nice to give Cheryl a card as I know how hard it is for Walt has to go through - but it also hard for Cheryl as well as there are many good days and bad days to cope with. But things do progress - slowly and we will all be dancing around on our new knees before we know it. Smile.
The card for Walt has a saying on it "Every Day is a New Adventure". After having just been through a knee replacement that didn't quite go to plan and needed extra tweeking (ha ha) - I know exactly what he is going though. Rehabilitation is a long journey - with many ups and downs - but I guess some people are just plain lucky and sail through it.
This card for Cheryl is made using a die cut frame - from a water coloured panel. Made easy by using wide double sided tape on the back of the card before cutting - fiddly when you have to poke out all the little holes - but teaches you patience big time.
Hope you enjoy.

This is terrific Helen, I truly don't know how you are so creative in all this heat. Every inch of this is wonderful!!! I have read your description over and over and I still can't work out how this looks like the white areas are 3D. Being the very proud owner of "helekins originals" I know that this is even more special in real life.

Beautiful intense colors and I'm sure you will send us a bit of sunshine from your country to warm us, it's cold in the south of France !!
Interesting technique, and I've seen the other card too beautiful horse rider and sunny background!!

I love the way you used those bright summer colours for your shell frame and shells. It's such fun. I know what you meant about the heat. Not that we experience it to your degree, but it can get pretty hot in my attic in the summer, so that even wearing shorts and a strap t-shirt it's not much fun stamping. Kudos to you for coming up with this and not making it something that would make you feel cool.

I LOVE the wonderful colors on this...very cheery! I'm sure Cheryl will love this as well. I can swap you some subzero weather for your super hot temps but you probably wouldn't go for it...you just have to "weather through" it...

We obviously live at the opposites ends of the earth! We have been experiencing double digit minuses and you with your extreme heat. I think I will take the cold actually. :-) Your card is glorious Helen! Such beautiful colours and I really love the shells! This is such a bright and cheery pick me up card!

Love your colorful sea shells! Hate hot weather, know what you mean! We are now in high 20s at night!
Sure Walt will appreciate you making him a card in that heat!
