To make packaging for my two sets of cards I decided to try Deb Valder's Designer Gift Clutch tutorial from our Resources sections. I had to modify the measurements slightly to fit metric A6 cards and envelopes, but the tutorial was brilliant and I'll be using it again. Instead of DP, I used my last butterfly and oval frame on one, and punched a bird from more of the Wild Asparagus paper for the other. The little bows were made to match papers used on the cards. I stitched the buttons through the velcro dots to make it easy to open and to make sure the velcro stayed where I stuck it - seems to have lost a little stick over the years!
As I'll be making these again, these are the measurements I used for the bird one, which was my second, more refined attempt. One 12x12 piece of Bazzill gave me my clutch.
Cut the main piece to 7.25 x 12, score at 5, 6.5 and 11.5.
The front flap is cut at 7.25 x 3 and scored at .5", the other corners rounded.
The side gussets were cut from the remaining piece, so they were 2" wide by as high as the piece of card, just under 5". I scored them at .25, 1 and 1.75, and at .5" along the narrow edge. I had one piece of card left which I was able to stick over the bottom of the clutch after sticking the side panels on.

These turned out amazing! Thank you for sharing your measurements with us. :-) I have several of these saved from tutorials here on splitcoaststampers found through the split Coast forum have yet to bravely try one. You have peaked my interest again though, and I may just finally do it to make a gift set of cards I'm thinking about. I doubt mine will turn out as nicely as yours, though!
