This is for the Sketch Challenge that I am hosting this week. I love hearts and since we are approaching Valentine's Day, I included a large heart in the layout. However, you are not locked into using a heart shape. ;-)
To create the rectangle, I chose three patterns of paper from the same stack and temporarily put them together with removable tape. Then I cut the rectangle to the approximate size. With all three rectangles together, I cut the two lines creating three triangles (x3). I removed the tape and I had paper pieces to mix & match for three cards.
I created the heart on each card in different ways: stamped on card base, die-cut & embossed die-cut cardstock, die-cut DSP. I used three different sentiments and did a little doodling on one. I am not good with doodling, but the only way to get better is to do it!
I hope you are inspired with the layout. It does not have to be exact. Just have fun with it! I look forward to seeing your creative and beautiful cards. TFL
Edit - I am sending one of these cards to Anne for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge. She loves red.

Diane your cards are wonderful! I love the DP's (and thanks for the tip on getting 3 for one)! I noticed your doodling right off and wondered if it was part of the sentiment stamp. Great job on that! This is such a pretty set of cards. Thanks for sharing them!
