Have you ever been using a recipe book and you didn't realise the page flipped over and you continued cooking. Ohhhh that's a story for another day, but it's pretty much what happened today when I read the Monday challenges.
Some how I got my wires crossed, all I had in my head was monochromatic and CAS. When I went to upload this monochromatic card I quickly learnt that my card didn't have to be CAS.....ohhhh but it was supposed to be monochromatic STAMPING - not monochromatic pencil colouring.
I did use a stencil on this card, but it's hardly the focal point for the CAS challenge, so here I am "all dressed up and nowhere to go".
I did have a lot of fun colouring this and fussy cutting is my favourite thing to do, so all is well.
Thanks very much for looking and I hope you have a happy, inky week.

These are the colours in that sweet bridesmaids card you sent me. I love this too. When you do CAS you really do!
I find it hard thinking of images that will work with one colour. So even though I can't do ALAD before work I'm not sure I'll have an idea for monochrome either, it will take more thought.

What am absolute delight to see this. I love your free-spirited creativity whether or not you followed the guidelines of the challenge. No one really cares too much about that. What's fun is the wild side of your imagination, specifically blue hair as well as your ability to mix media that no one will ever dare to do. Keep on keeping on!

This is so pretty Susie and I don't understand why you didn't upload it for the CAS challenge today!! I love your monochromatic coloring and love this cute image too, the framing and stenciled drops are perfect!!
Aww Sis Susie. So preciously Awwwdorable!!! Your coloring is Awwmazimgly perfectionly on point too! Gorgeousness!! Colors are so beautiful together as well!!
Aww! I do think you should add it to the CAS challenge. I feel like you definitely used a stencil AND you highlighted some of those stenciled dots. Your card is stunning! Gorgeous coloring! I am cracking up over the title. Did you mean it as partly ironic because it didn't end up posted to a challenge? Makes me giggle!

You may have used the wrong recipe, but you made a fabulous card! I love the color and that girl's fun dress! Throw in some glitter and you've got a tasty dish IMHO.
