Well, I tried. My white ink isn't good enough for this technique. But I did enjoy drawing the fence, which I tried to make to mimic the fence right next to the little cottage. It was also nice to use this stamp. I can't remember if I've ever used it before, but it was perfect for this scene. I kept it a CAS one layer card and just added in one little rhinestone star in the sky.
I do think this technique makes a nice holiday season sympathy card, which I did unfortunately need. One of my favorite ladies that worked the elections with me passed away last week, so I wanted to send her family a card. She was such a nice lady. At least I got to work with her one last time during our special election earlier in the month.

Sweet sympathy card, Jen. The one little bling in the star is lovely - and the fence was easy to do, wasn't it. I haven't made my cookies yet, I'll cut a slice of the Buche de Noel for you instead. I found it took quite a few layers (and drying time) to build up a good fog - but I think yours looks fab as it is.

So sorry for the loss of your friend. Such a beautiful card for her family.
Your fence is so realistic and you just know that it connects to the fence in your scene. I love your shining star.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. So fun with the little ones!!!
