Barb (barbaralynn), Kelly (MiamiKel4), and I have an extreme challenge once a month. We call it Ready? Set? Go! The idea is to have a challenge theme that is a little more challenging than the average challenge. We rotate who comes up with the theme. This month it was Barb's turn.
Since it's mid-December and we're all busy getting ready for Christmas, Barb went easy on us this month. She asked us to make Christmas cards - with a metallic element.
Oh my! Sounds easy, but I don't do glittery or shiny papers well. I do emboss occasionally but that didn't seem to fit the stamp that I wanted to use. Isn't the Colorado & Co Bethlehem's Light stamp set adorable!?!?!?
So, my metal includes a glittery metal star brad above the mange and four little metallic gold brads in the stable beam (kind of wanted them to represent nails holding the beam in place).
You can find more photos (including the inside of my card) and information on my blog...

This is such a precious card and I love it. Goodness, your beam looks real. Good idea with the brads.
