Merry Christmas everyone! Here's my card entry for this weeks Inspiration Challenge IC680 I used this piece as my inspiration: https://www.shutterstock.com/image-p...8qVzdBMVew-1-3 (sorry for the long link - I couldn't remember the coding for it - I'm getting old). Thank you so much to Stacy for hosting the challenge this week, and to all the ladies who have helped behind the scenes, thank you as well!
The patterned paper comes from my stash of never ending Christmas papers (she laughs). I have no idea how many years I've had it!
If you haven't pulled out your Tombow markers in a while now's the time! I absolutely love this old technique of coloring your stamp with your marker and giving it a little spitz of water OR just stamp it off and take a small watercolor brush to pull out the color. Either way you can't go wrong. Once you've colored your piece. Stamp over it again with VersaMark (I suggest you use a stamp positioner otherwise you'll have a mess and ruin your coloring). Once you stamp again in VersaMark, heat emboss with clear embossing powder - this will seal your work. Now you can lightly sponge over your piece. Then you can use a background stamp such as music, or as I did with old script. I think you'll be happy with the results.
Merry Christmas to all my old friends here at SCS and to the new friends too! May you be blessed this season with joy, peace, and a love that abides forever.

Oh, I love this! Thank you so much for your description. And yes, someone once said to me, that they thought coloring the stamp with a marker was really the best.
