I missed last night's VSN fun, because we took the kids to Edaville Railroad. It's such a magical and fun little place with rides and a train that goes through the cranberry bogs with lots of Christmas light displays. I've been going since I was a kid and we had such a good time last night. So here is one of my catch up cards, for Michelle's challenge to put a snowman on our cards. And I made it mixed media for Anna's MIX challenge, too! I searched for snowman on the inspiration site today and found this cute snowman scene. Figured I'd recreate it with a masked and stenciled moon and some Distress inks. I accidentally bought a Distress Oxide ink pad the other day. My Broken China dried out, so I tried to buy a new one at Hobby Lobby. When I got home, I realized it was Distress Oxide. Anyway, I masked the moon and sponged on the Broken China. Then I stenciled the craters on the moon in Weathered Wood. And splattered water for stars or snow, whichever you want it to be. And I embossed some big snowflakes in glitter EP. Fun card to make!

Wonderful sky and moon. I guess I want it to be snowing so I'll think that way. I just love the adorable snowman with the sweet smile. Sounds like your family night was full of fun.
