I have found it fun during the year to try to use up some of my scraps by sitting and just making backgrounds for future cards. This is one of those I did earlier this year. It is a great use of scraps and a great saver of time later. I used one word - PEACE, 2 images- Mary and Joseph were together on the stamp and baby Jesus was separate. I punched a circle from a left over scrap from a previous card for the halo. And I used basically three colors - dark red, olive, and light blue. Gold was my accent color. I left the image uncolored. The Peace is done with gold embossing powder.
When my parents were the young married couple's Sunday School class in the church I grew up in, every year they would put on a live nativity scene in front of our church. It was beautiful and even had a barrel braced in an upstairs window of the church for the angel to look like she was coming down from heaven. The librarian from school was the prettiest angel of all, because she would let her long hair down (which she usually wore in a bun). As a teenager, the youth group took on this project and I looked forward to it every year. So, as I was making this card this AM I was mentally taking a memory walk back in time. Sweet memories indeed, as many of the original cast from my parents' class have new addresses in Glory Land now.

Great background you had ready. I do so like the way you added the halo, it separates the layers and picks up so well on the embossed circle in one of your background scraps. What a lovely story to share with us, too. I'm glad you enjoyed your memory trip.
