I don't consider this a card because it's pretty big. I tend to use my sets partially so what I did today is use some parts of sets that were unused and also some older wood mounted stamps that I have barely used or not at all. For example, Peaceful Wishes is a set I've barely used, as was the Collage Alphabet. For my base I used a background stamp that I have never used but bought from a friend's rummage sale. I tried to copy and paste a picture of it but seems to not want to do so. It's a large stamp with some blank spaces. The text at the top and the dotty stuff is part of the bg stamp. I didn't do a complete background with the music and dictionary text because I wanted the background stamp to show. I used my grandparent's old dictionary that I sat on as a child and some flute music I had, Mozart, I believe. The colored pieces are from a project that didn't work out well but I thought they might be neat on this project. I used a lot of sponging and Inca 'golding' to add distress and shine. I love the little angel on the bottom right, another unused stamp. I think I will frame this.

WOW....this is stunning, a true work of art. I love the Inka gold, the little angel image, and the Noel..the whole piece is really cool. Thanks for playing along today...always a delight to see your creative take on the challenges.

Your collage is just wonderful and I think you should frame it, too, especially because you used your grandparent's dictionary to put it together.

I love that it's not a card and can shine as a very special holiday decor piece. I really like how you popped up several elements and that it's so well balanced. Enjoy!

I love the vintage look of this. Knowing you used Peaceful Wishes gives me a good sense of scale. I once had a pad of Dutch Christmas papers very much in this vintage style and colour palette. I think that background stamp looks absolutely wonderful. And I love the little strips of coloured offcuts. I used pages from my mother's old Shorter Oxford Dictionary, volume two. When we cleared out the house, I took that especially for cards. I can picture them on the shelf in the dining room, and they were often referred to.

I agree with you...frame it! It is a very cool collage. That lil' angel looks Norwegian. My eye first caught the upper middle which looked like a stable to me. Love the mid mod stars in the upper right, the text blocks you lifted. It's a great texted collage.
