I went a with a very contemporary look for this cards I stamped the image with a black ink and added blocks of color using distressvoxide inks. There are some places closer to the image, where it is difficult to blend ink using a dauber. I matched Copic colors very close to the distress ink colors. I also made a matching envelop to go with it.

You did a great job getting the color around that image. This is where die cut would really come in handy! I am amazed that you were able to keep the white image from getting color all over. Beautiful card!
