Carla (Covington Crafter) is hosting the Ways to Use it Challenge for today, WT708. She asked to see music notes or instruments on cards. I love her challenge; it's a great one, Carla!
Carla's challenge gave me an opportunity to showcase one of my favorite hymns, The Old Rugged Cross. This song holds a special place in my heart and when I hear it, tears come to my eyes. Old hymns are my favorite music.
I have musical notes and an instrument on my card. I stamped the music for the hymn with VersaMark and onto a piece of ODBD Notable Notes pattern paper. I embossed it with turquoise embossing powder. A keyboard is at the bottom of the card.
I greatly appreciate any views and comments on my card!

that is a good old hymn. I grew up EUB and then United Methodist and I think we stopped singing that hymn or they took it out of the hymnal. too bad. your card is lovely.

Bev, this is such a beautiful card for a wonderful hymn. Wish we still sang it at church. I love your colors and how you got the notes and a keyboard on your card. I think I'll be singing that song for a while today.

Oh, Bev, this is a very special hymn for me as well, and I agree with Brenda about wishing we would sing it at our church. But I love how you've used it and made a wonderful card for Carla's Ways to Use It challenge. It's my favorite color, and I love how you've incorporated the keyboard and musical notes. I love this card, and I know someone special will love it too!! Hugs and love, precious sister and friend! xoxo

Bev, the love for the hymn comes out beautifully in your marvelous card. The swirls and piano keyboard are a perfect accompaniment to that beautiful old hymn. Thanks for playing in my challenge and celebrating the beauty of music.
