A quick and easy card for Send a Smile 4 Kids. I had gotten this stamp on clearance for less than $1 at Hobby Lobby, and wanted to use it at least once this Halloween season. I stamped the greeting onto a piece of bristol paper with Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink, & clear heat embossed it. I die cut the piece with an oval die and inked over it with Blueprint Sketch Distress ink. I spritzed the oval with water from my Distress Sprayer, and soaked up the water & ink with a dry cloth. I wasn't happy with it, so I re-inked it, spritzed it again, and lifted the ink. I repeated this one more time, until I was happy with the result.
I cut 3 strips of patterned paper as per the sketch, and double-matted them. I mounted my card front to a white card base, and adhered my greeting oval. And this card was done! Seriously, I think the hardest thing (other than inking & distressing the oval) was getting the oval glued on reasonably straight!
