Anita offers us a wonderful tutorial to try out this week. This card won't be my tickle - I'll upload that after work. But I've always wanted to try her book cards, and made this to give to a friend. It was super fun to make, and much easier than I was expecting. So even if you don't find the fold practical for mailing for a tickle, I encourage you to try it out for a card you will be hand delivering. I made another one for my niece and was able to fit a bar of handmade soap inside.
I looked for free downloads that would have "Once Upon a Time", and after a short while decided it would be easier to make my own in GIMP. After printing it I randomly stamped Weathered over it in Vintage Photo, and sponged the edges. Punched the corners and edged the piece with gold, then matted it onto some old DP and then added it to the front of the book. Before assembling I had stamped the birthday sentiment and little flourishes on the "spine".

Sabrina, this is magical! Love the font and that owl if fabulous. This could be a cover for a fabulous fairy tale. Your friend will treasure your card, it's fabulous inside and out.
