This is for this weeks tea-Party....we are tickling each other this week with bringing back the old. I went into my gallery and took a look at my first few cards, and remembered my first stamp set...inkadinkado....from Walmart. Also used my first punch and one of my first ribbons...again from Walmart...was cheaper...Was going to do a nice summery butterfly card but when looking for inchie ideas I rightaway thought of a quilt, especially when outside today it is cooler and feels like fall. So I went with a nice warm fall quilt with sunflowers. One of my first patterned papers I bought to use for my daughter as she LOVES sunflowers, so I save it a lot for her and used some today.
Just cut and layered and embossed. I raised the sentiment and added a fall leaf gem. Got lots of them when I first started and rarely use them. Many times I think of giving them away, but then came in good use today...hmmm...:0). Added silhouette butterflies,( A sign of change) kind of like our season transitioning from summer to fall.
Thanks for the great idea Sandy and you all for the visit. HUGS to my fellow tea-potters

What a beautiful quilt card this is. I LOVE sunflowers too so was delighted to see how you used them on this rich fall card that feels so warm and cozy too. I love the sentiment panel, the embossing you did and the butterflies. You definitely have fun with this challenge and it shows in this great card! ~Karen.
What a striking quilt! I love the black butterflies! I still use my butterfly punch now and then. I would love to snuggle under a vibrant quilt like this in the winter!

A lovely warm and snuggly quilt. Could do with one here at the moment - cold frosty night tonight. Looking forward to Spring which starts on 1 September - then it will be time to pack away the quilts. The "saved" sunflowers give your quilt a nice country feel.

Fabulous quilt card! What a great idea to go back and look at your first cards for ideas! I love the gem leaf and your Walmart deals! I buy all kinds of things from Walmart. I wish I had thought to use my butterfly punch--definitely one of my oldest tools.
