These are usually what we give graduating seniors. I clean out a 2 liter pop bottle and cut a 3-sided window in the side with an exacto knife. This window is fairly large, as I fit a card inside (with a check!). Then I fit shredded paper around the card. I stamp a design on cardstock, layer to appropriate size, and glue this on top of the window. Put 3 rubber bands around this to hold overnight. Then do pieces of curling ribbon to fit under the cap. I also cover the cap with a little piece cut out with a design. I added stickers backed with silver and may also add the year.
The graduates always have fun figuring out how I got the gift inside! They are a fun thing to take to the open houses!

Wow! I love these. Too bad I didn't see this sooner as graduation is tomorrow and they are just getting the card with $ inside. I'll be ready for next year though. TFS

I just stumbled across this while looking thru the gallery--These are so awesome! They look so cool, and seem so easy to do, and with a huge wow factor for the gift getter! Worth giving up the 10-cent deposit! (Still cheaper than a gift bag!) TFS!
