Another card for my brother for his birthday. I wanted to use my gilding flakes (which I have sorely neglected), & thought this balloon image would work perfectly. I stamped it in Versamark ink onto a piece of navy cardstock, & heat embossed with sticky embossing powder. Then I applied the gilding flakes--after I had turned off the ceiling fan!--and rubbed them into the embossing. I used a stiff bristle brush to remove the excess flakes, by rubbing it vigorously over the panel. I returned the larger pieces that came off into the container, and just dumped the rest in the trash.
I stamped my greeting onto a piece of light blue cardstock with Charcoal ink. I had to use partial die-cutting to cut it, since the tag die was a bit too long. I punched a 1/16" hole in the tag, and threaded through some grey & white baker's twine. I wrapped the ends of the twine to the back of my leafed panel, and secured them with Scor Tape. I positioned my tag, and squirted a little liquid glue underneath to adhere it to the navy panel. I tied a tiny bow with the same twine, and adhered it with a glue dot.
I adhered my navy panel to an A2-size piece of patterned paper, and mounted that to a white card base. Finally, I added three blue Nuvo Crystal drops to the upper left corner.
