The card base is a standard 8-1/2"x 5-1/2" piece of Stampin' Up Night of Navy cardstock, folded in half. I started by stamping the trees from the SU set "White Christmas" using Stazon Cotton White ink, and filling in the sky with snowflakes from the 1999 SU "Holiday Sampler" using the same ink.
I next stamped the polar bear and snowman onto SU Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added a big of color to the snowman's scarf, hat and carrot nose using SU Stampin' Write Markers. Then "fussy cut" both the snowman and bear out using paper snips.
The angel is from a 1999 retired SU set called "Holiday Helpers". I stamped her using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then colored her with Stampin' Write Markers, and cut her out.
The cloud was created using the "top" and "bottom" cloud dies from the SU "Rainbow Builder Framelits" dies. I then used a craft sponge to lightly sponge SU Soft Sky ink on the cloud. It was then glued to the card front with Tombow glue, and the edges trimmed to match the card sides.
The angel was mounted with adhesive foam strips to maker her look like she was peeking over the top of the cloud at the snowman and bear below. Then the snowman and bear were placed so it appeared they were looking up at the angel, and mounted with adhesive foam strips.
Finally, the sentiment was stamped using Momenta Stamp & Cut Snowflakes stamp/die set with SU Night of Navy ink on SU Whisper White cardstock, then run through my Big Shot using it's matching die. This was also mounted using adhesive foam strips.
I intentionally made the trees, ground and snowflakes a light white so that the snowman and bear would stand out as they gazed up at the Christmas angel.
Special thanks to Merry Monday Christmas Challenge Design Team members Leanne and Colleen for inspiration.
I am rating the difficulty level of "2" out of "5" because of the need to do so much "fussy cutting" for the angel, snowman and bear. It wasn't hard, but required more work than simply stamping and layering.
