I made the background using a fan brush dipped in my Distress Stains and water. I just turned the fan brush side ways to come down the panel. I cut out three layers for the heron. I then decided I would die cut the cattails and stamp the rocks, fussy cutting them. I made a pool of water at the edge of my little bank. I liked the little scene it made.
The heron is watercolored and the cattails and rocks are colored with Copics.
My card is also for today's Free for All challenge. I went with an outdoor scene.

Oh, Brenda, you did a remarkable job of illustrating your inspiration piece! You created a beautiful background with the brush, stains, and water, which is similar to your inspiration! The heron is gorgeous along with the cattails! Love the card, Benz!
