I made this for my brother-in-law's birthday. He's a keen Aikido practitioner/teacher so the samurai sword isn't quite right but I hope he'll like it.
I made several cling wrap backgrounds on Thursday night using Brusho powders, spray starch and Brusho Acrylic shimmer mists - it was either gold or bronze on this one. I stamped and embossed the sentiment in gold, then I added a little faux wood floor (some brown distress inks direct to paper), and added my fussy-cut and pencil-coloured cat after cutting the fireworks.
I more or less followed the Creating with Chibitronics tutorial, but at this stage I find it much easier to cut two layers of fun foam just smaller than my card front, stick them together, and then cut out apertures where the LEDs and the battery go.
I've darkened the photo a little here to let the lights show, but didn't think it was worth uploading two pictures. The background is more of a slate-blue/grey than that deep blue with burnt reds. Excuse the grubby fingers - it's alcohol inks from the MIX challenge .

Wow Sabrina, this is such a fun filled card, love everything about it but your image of the martial arts cat is priceless, and your background is perfect.
