I really admire handmade papers and this one is from Paper Source. I liked the fact that it incorporated both gold and silver in the bamboo images. Kept the main panel rather simple so the background paper would hold its own.

Oh my goodness that is some great handmade paper and love the colors in it too. You have created a stunning card with it too. Thank you so much for playing along and sharing some of your hoarded DPs.

Sallie, I wish I was born able to follow the advice of your sentiment. I love it and wish I could follow it all the time! Using the butterfly really drove the point home. Stunning card.

You're right, it is unusual to see both gold and silver in that style of paper, and it gives it much more "life" than a single colour. At first I thought your butterflies were paper too, but now I'm thinking you stamped them - and they are indeed light and delicate enough to balance the strong background, make a statement but not take away from the lovely bamboos.

Sallie, this is truly stunning. I adore this bg paper with the gold and silver bamboo, and you chose the most lovely sentiment with delicate butterflies to showcase this paper by. This is a really special card and it will be for someone special too. ~Karen.
